TAKE A TOUR

Follow a Murjis mandate through its first year.

Every Murjis fractional mandate puts a named executive in the role and runs on the Murjis Fractional Platform. Here is what that looks like for Northwind Technologies Inc., a fictional software company, from the first call to the yearly check-up. The screens show the client portal with sample data.

01GETTING STARTED

Tell us what you need

Two short steps on the Get Started page. We reply by email within one business day, and if a call helps, fifteen minutes works out whether we are the right fit. If we are, and our conflicts check is clear, you sign an engagement letter, we assign your Fractional Executive and we open your portal.

  • You tell us what you need
  • Your Fractional Executive is assigned to the role

WHAT YOU GET

  • A named Fractional Executive who holds the role
  • Flat fees, set out in your engagement letter
  • Your own client portal, where the mandate is booked, tracked and filed

02ONBOARDING

Onboarding with Rachel

Rachel, our AI assistant, starts from what we already have on file and asks you to confirm it. Then you drop in what you have: your articles or minute book, contracts, leases, policies and insurance. Nothing needs sorting or renaming. Rachel reads each file, puts it where it belongs and asks only what your documents leave open. Booking your Legal Health Check meeting completes onboarding.

  • You send what you have
  • Rachel reads, files and asks

WHAT YOU GET

  • A file organized from the first day, built from your own documents
  • Questions only where your documents leave a gap
  • Everything Rachel does supervised by your Murjis legal team
The client portal onboarding page: Rachel has read five documents and filed each one, and asks whether any part of the business is licensed or regulated.

03FIRST 30 DAYS

Your Legal Health Check

Rachel drafts your Legal Health Check from your file. Your Fractional Executive reviews it, makes any changes, publishes it to your portal and walks you through it in a thirty-minute meeting that does not use a counsel day. It reviews your records, contracts, people, IP, privacy, compliance and financing, marks any area outside your roles as not assessed, and is included in every fractional mandate.

  • Rachel drafts it
  • Your Fractional Executive reviews and presents it
  • You make the decisions

WHAT YOU GET

  • A risk-ranked review of what is sound, what needs work and what is missing
  • The three things that matter most, and a dated plan for the year
  • The decisions only you can make, with the trade-offs set out
  • The report to download, and a summary that stays in your portal

04FIRST 30 DAYS

Your playbook

From the published Legal Health Check, Rachel drafts the positions your company takes on the terms that come up in every deal: liability caps, indemnities, payment terms, governing law, IP ownership, privacy and more. Each has three levels: what we open with, what we will agree to, and the line we do not cross without asking you. Where your signed contracts or insurance already bear on a position, the playbook takes them into account and says why; where they do not, it starts from Murjis standard positions. Your Fractional Executive reviews and adopts it, and you can change any position.

  • Rachel drafts it
  • Your Fractional Executive reviews and adopts it
  • You make the commercial calls

WHAT YOU GET

  • Decisions made once, written down and applied to every contract we review
  • Your risk appetite on paper, with the reason for each position
  • Positions you can change at any time, with a record of every change

05FIRST 30 DAYS

Your templates

Murjis templates are customized to your company from your file and your playbook, and chosen from what your Legal Health Check found. Your Fractional Executive reviews and publishes each one before you see it. When you need a document, download the template as a Word file with your company's details filled in, or send it to your executive as a request to draft from.

A customized template is a starting point, not advice. Send it to your Fractional Executive before you sign anything.

  • Rachel customizes them
  • Your Fractional Executive reviews and publishes them
  • You draft from them

WHAT YOU GET

  • Paper that matches your playbook, ready before the deal arrives
  • Templates chosen for the gaps your Legal Health Check found
  • Any template can be requested, and any published one sent to your executive to draft from

06EVERY MONTH

Counsel days and requests

Your Fractional Executive works on booked counsel days. You book them on your executive's calendar in the portal, or make one a standing day each month. Send work in as a request, such as a contract to review, a question or a document to draft, and it is picked up on your next booked day, where it shows as the agenda. Need more time? Buy an extra full or half day in the portal and book it at once.

  • You book days and send work
  • Your Fractional Executive does the work

WHAT YOU GET

  • Counsel days booked on your executive's calendar, without the back and forth
  • Every request tied to a booked day
  • Days and invoices accounted for in one place

07AS WORK HAPPENS

Your Mandate Brief

One page that tells you where things stand: the decisions only you can make, what we need from you, obligations coming up and who has each one, what was recently done, and the next step your executive has set. The lists update as work happens, so you do not have to ask.

  • Your Fractional Executive keeps it moving
  • You answer from the page

WHAT YOU GET

  • Accountability you can see at any time
  • Your deadlines tracked, with reminders 30, 7 and 1 day before each one is due
  • Documents and answers sent from the line that asks for them

08ALL YEAR, EVERY YEAR

Your records and your yearly check-up

What you send and what we deliver is filed in your portal by kind, and a new version replaces the old one without losing it. Your minute book is kept in the book's own order and can be assembled from what is on file whenever a financing, an audit or a buyer asks for it. Every twelve months your Legal Health Check is done again, so the plan keeps pace with the company, and you and your executive are reminded a week before it is due.

  • Rachel files
  • Your Fractional Executive places what Rachel cannot
  • You are reminded

WHAT YOU GET

  • Records in order when diligence comes
  • A minute book you can assemble at any time
  • A fresh Legal Health Check and plan every year

A named executive in the role. The Murjis Fractional Platform behind them.

Murjis is a licensed law practice, so your legal advice comes from a lawyer regulated by the Law Society of Ontario. The platform carries the groundwork, and your executive's counsel days go to the legal work.

Northwind Technologies Inc. is fictional. The screens show the Murjis client portal with sample data, and the findings, positions and documents in them are illustrative only; they are not advice about any company.
