BIOGRAPHY
Samir is a dynamic lawyer with specialized skills in corporate law and business negotiation. Throughout the course of his career he has developed a breadth of experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and contract negotiation from his time with Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP and Fasken Martineau LLP. He also has significant exposure in a plethora of industries including financial services, technology, privacy, mining, oil & gas, cannabis, fitness, grocery, retail, logistics and blockchain that he developed during his tenure with the legal departments of Walmart Canada, Morneau Shepell, Shawcor and Barrick Gold.
Outside of law, Samir has gained significant management and board experience gained through his portfolio of investments and involvement with companies and organizations in the fitness, real estate and art sectors including most recently as a member of the board of directors of the Museum of Contemporary Art (Toronto).
